Breastfeeding…it’s the best food for your baby. Women have been feeding babies this way for centuries. And yet, in today’s world, parents receive a lot of different advice about how “exactly” to breastfeed. In this unique class, designed for BOTH moms and dads, parents will get information on dispelling myths surrounding breastfeeding and how societal norms may affect each individual’s breastfeeding experience. The mechanics of breastfeeding are covered extensively to help parents understand both mother’s and baby’s role in the process. Additional topics covered include going back to work, pumping, how/when to introduce a bottle, how to know if baby is getting enough milk. Potential difficulties are discussed as well as how to know when to reach out for help. By the end of the class, partners will understand their role in breastfeeding and how much help they can provide and how they can take part in baby feeding even when they’re not the one breastfeeding.
All classes are private and fit to meet your schedule. Contact Kelli at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss scheduling this class.
